N o, not the statue - the store. Named for Arthur Lasenby Liberty, this store was founded in 1875, and appropriately enough occupies Tudor buildings on Regent Street. The buildings are considered landmarks and stand out in the London's architectural landscape. Liberty specialized in selling goods imported from Asia. Everything from textiles to objects d'art. Though the buildings look like they're from another age, they were only built in 1924. That was when all of the government ordered all of the buildings on Regent Street to be torn down and rebuilt. Liberty's Tudor shop is built of wood from the HMS Impregnable and the HMS Hindustan.

My grandfather worked on restoration work on liberties a few decades ago, ive got a photo of my dad putting the ship up, and there's an inscription inside, would love to head onto that roof to see the ship.
