A wonderful expression of elegance defying its harsh surroundings. The Phoenix Symphony Hall looks small from the outside, but can hold nearly 2,600 people on the inside. Also inside are hand-blown Venetian chandeliers. It's most striking feature is the peacock fountain in front -- the sort of item that is becoming more and more common in cities where passersby won't mind a bit of mist on a hot day.
