S eating an audience of 1,300 this Spanish Moderne landmark is one of a series of Fox Theatres erected around southern California during Hollywood's heyday. Though it is now in the hands of the Mann theater company (of Mann's Chinese Theater fame), this old Fox is literally and figuratively a beacon of the past. It retains its opulence through the use of marble flooring and rich appointments in the auditorium. It also has a balcony suitable for snuggling, and is occasionally the site of a Hollywood premier.
