T his is actually the fourth courthouse to be built in Fort Wayne.

>Cornerstone laid 17 November, 1897.
>Dedicated 23 September, 1902.
>Made from Blue Bedford stone and Vermont Granite.
>The interior includes Italian marble staircases, balustrades, and wall panels, 15,000 square feet of marezzo scagliola, a rotunda open to all three floors, featuring murals by Charles Holloway, encaustic floor tiles and mosaic tiles on stair landings, stained glass in the rotunda dome, over the grand staircase, in the courtroom skylights, and lunettes around the rotunda, five courtrooms, each with its own color scheme.
