My family faithfully attended Moody Memorial Church from the time I was two years old until I graduated from high school. At that time my parents decided that it was too far to travel from the far southwest side of Chicago each Sunday. Fifty years later I returned to the church for special events and I was very impressed with the way the church has been maintained. It is the same as I remember it. A genuine effort has been made to keep the new part of the church consistent with the original. It is magnificent to this day. One of my cherished memories is seeing H. A. Ironside on the pulpit. I was about 5 years old at the time. The organ music was outstanding as was the special music of famous musicians who performed.
