& quot;Next up is the IJL Financial Center, built by then NationsBank and Interstate/Johnson Lane. IJL is headquartered here. They have since been bought by Wachovia, but the headquarters remains here. This building, which pays homage to the Bank of America Corporate Center, is located across the corner from the IJL building. This building is beautiful and offers many different looks depending upon what angle you are looking at it from. The smaller building in the foreground is the Dunhill, an historic Charlotte hotel. The Dunhill is a rarity, an old building in Charlotte that escaped the wrecking ball. The Cadillac Building on this block wasn't so lucky." -James Williamson
