N ever before has such whimsy been put forth by corporate America. The Longaberger Basket Company has erected a building that should inspire architects and fill other companies with shame. Photographs don't do it justice. In images, it just looks like another Longaberger Medium Market Basket. On closer inspection you notice that the weave is actually windows, and the basket is 160-times the regular size for a basket. Being there is an entirely different experience. It bends the mind in unusual ways and plays tricks with your sense of perception. How did they do it? With a lot of steel, a lot of stucco, and wood grown, harvested, processed, and installed by the company, itself.

Rating: Five stars. This building is awesome. I have been inside, and it is truely amazing! It has a huge atrium inside with offices surrounding it. It is a creative miricle!

Rating: Four stars. I dont get out of my home state of Illinois often...I like the looks of this buidling very unique...I got the chance to see it for the first time a few weeks ago while traveling thru Ohio...very different.. but I guess if you were a local person there , you probably would have other comments about this building...

Rating: Two stars. I drive by this building infrequently. It's an eye sore. Less than 8 years have passed since it was completed and the 'varnish' brown paint used to make the exterior look like wood is already chipping off in large chunks. The result is a brown basket with large yellow blotches.
