T he people of southeast Texas were lucky to get this Addickes work back. It was created for the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans, but ended up on Galveston island at a jazz club called "Trumpets." The musically-inclined will notice that it's not actually a trumpet, but a cornet. Most others won't notice, or care -- simply delighting in the scale of this sculpture is enough.
