T his wonderful historic building has outlived its previous use as a movie hall. It has been taken over by a clothing retailer who had the interior gutted, but for the most part maintained the integrity of the terra cotta exterior. The only major change to the façade was the addition of a lagre inverted bay window on the entrance corner which goes well with the canopy below, but not so well with the rest of the building. While not exactly reminiscent of the Coliseum in Rome, this building does pay homage to early Italian architecture through its pediments, faux arches, and simulated marble.
