T his odd sliver of a building exists because of the expansion of Rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste between Rue Saint-Paul and Rue de la Commune. Originally, there was a stone house on this property, but the plot was cut in half by the new street, and the remainder used to erect the building you see today. Its most interesting features are the curved facade on the northwest and southwest corners which help let light into the passage.
