This is indeed a very fine building. I used to work as a butler at The Lanesborough, and got to know the building very well. Although most of the old "hospital relic" has gone, there are little reminders of it's former life, such as the very fine archways in some of the corridors, in the basement kitchen the same old slide door lift which was in use during the hospital days, or even the so called "haunted portrait" in one of the rooms on the fourth floor.
