Rating: One star. maybe this is what the flagship needs in order to get its long over due makeover,it is however a shame that management ran this great place in the guter,30 years ago it was the place to stay in galveston,how sad,,

Rating: One star. Say Goodbye! It's probably being swept to the bottom of the ocean as I write this. Ike (not the President) was the last guest to stay there and he was NOT welcome!

Rating: Four stars. Listen, its old and above the water! Its not going to be a 5 star resort. My family and I have stayed in the Flagship a few times, and we will stay in it everytime that Carnival ship starts to call my name...

Rating: Three stars. no it is not the best place to stay,,,,,but I wouldn't stay any place elese because it has a wonderful of the ocean the boardwalk..it has a oldfashion feeling which i dearly enjoy.

Rating: Four stars. I have stayed at the Flagship every time I am in Galveston. Yes, the hotel definately needs a facelift, but I believe the new owner will correct this problem. I can't help but be in love with the Flagship. It's view is great, the Ocean Grill is just a walk away and the hotel holds lots of fond memories for me. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Rating: Two stars. This hotel was probably very nice 20 years ago. I hate to use the word "dump", but it was very unkept, the room smelled musty, the bedding was old and worn, the carpeting felt and looked dirty, the elevators were dirty and unkept as were the surrounding grounds. The place looks and feels like it is falling apart. The suit case rack in the room was even rusty! The T.V. had terrible reception (the old, broken and beat up cable box was unhooked and crammed behind the dresser). While in the shower, the water temp went back and forth from warm to cold. The continental breakfast was a joke. The video game room was a shambles with only one or two games working and littered with half filled cups of who knows what and cigarette butts. The only good thing going for this hotel is it's location, which is fantastic, but overall, it is truly a shame. It definitely needs new management and a makeover. For what you get it is a real rip off. I would never go back and I would not recommend it to anyone.
