Calgary City Hall
Built: 1907-1911
Type: Government Building

To the casual visitor Calgary appears to be a thoroughly modern city, but there is some history here. The design of the sandstone City Hall shows its roots in late 19th century design. Today most city services have been relocated, but this building still serves as the home of the mayor's office. It was declared an historic landmark in 1978.
