Considered
one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, Château
Lauerier helps Ottawa earn its reputation as an outpost
of sophistication through dignified beauty and stately
charm. It was designed in the chateau style to match
other hotels owned by Canadian Pacific. The hotel
was named after Sir Wilfred Laurier, who was Canada's
Prime Minister from 1896 to 1911 and the hotel's first
registered guest.
