untitled
by Alfredo Granados, Jr.

We live and die here
They don't care
Our world is ours with nothing to share
You say we are stupid and without reason
Young lives ended for over urban crusades
Soilders without cause and unmarked graves
The news never reaches the public
Safe behind SUV doors
Blind to the fact that we were born dying
Unconventional families with honor and unseen love
Traitors are loathed and hunted down without mercy
Working on highways and every other job you hate
Big Brother watches for just one mistake
Then you label us the bad guys and lock us away
Grinding and dying is a way of life
What would you do if this was your life?
