Immediately following the destruction of the World Trade Center we created four slide shows of photographs taken at the scene in the first few days after it happened. In January we took them off the web site to make room for other features. That disappointed a number of people. So, after getting a few dozen e-mails I have restored the slideshows. They can be viewed here:

Very sad. Very powerful. You forget what it was like back then.

And we will never FORGET ! when I saw this on T.V. back then. All that I wanted to do was get my Comission back ,..and I did for a year and a half. (Lt.Cmdr. U.S.Navy)

very powerful images...i just saw United 93 this sunday. It really brought me back to the emotions i had on september 11. I think that the united states needs to really remember the events of this day. the patriotism that emerged from this incident seems to have died off again and i find that sad. this year will mark the 5 year anniversary and im sure that around september 11 there will be a rise in patriotism again, i just wish we wouldnt need to rely on a tragedy to bring out such strong emotions for our country.

Did you like United 93? I heard it was very good. I also heard that it was very straight -- just the facts, no political or philisophical spin one way or another. It's a tribute to the power and significance of that day that the facts can cut through the other garbage and just present themselves. I can only hope that the other 9/11-inspired movies that come out do the same and don't become tainted with Hollywood views the way so many others are.

I haven't seen the film yet. I'm still not ready. I have three hours of CBS network behind-the-scenes video I haven't been able to bring myself to look at yet, either. I really should put it on DVD before the tape deteriorates, though.

I really did like it. You were told right in regards to the straight-forwardness of the movie. The president was not even mentioned until after the sceneplay was over and they were writing the additional facts and what not. It was pretty much only concerned with all the agencies that dealt directly with the airlines (air traffic control stations, FAA headquarters I think, and the military). But it is a very strong representation of 9/11 and whatever you felt that day you will feel again watching this movie.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd rather not bring back my feelings from that day. Not yet anyway.

Very powerful indeed, it hurts to think that your love one, died like that. Just think you're the women's husband, and your wife, the love of your life, was in the towers and died because of the terrorists. Really hurts! Will anyone watch the WTC movie coming out this Monday?

Not quite. iOS 5 is not out yet. Fragmentation is when multiple versions of the operating system to use in production are at once. backup iPad 2 for Mac Whether the change in the future remains to be seen, but it seems likely that, at least in the short term, will keep Apple iChat / IMessage and FaceTime as separate applications.

Evernote is a great note-taking app. I've been using it for free for over a year and I love it. Don't really need the features of the Premium option, so I haven't paid for it. But for to-do's, I stumbled upon BusyToDo (www.busytodo.com) and found it very useful. It syncs with my MobileMe account, allowing me to keep a to-do list on my iPhone in sync with iCal. iPod music converter like the others said before me, hand brake only good if you convert the files from a DVD back to any kind of video format. So what do you need two programs are one that pulls the files from the DVD then that puts these files into various video formats. So I would recommend downloading MacTheRipper (to rip the files) and handbrake (to set the files back in video format), and both are free. Mac the Ripper ?
