Thanks for posting these. I notice lots of balconies on virtually all of the towers. Does that mean they're residential rather than commercial? Is there an office tower core in Panama City?

First of all, thanks for your response. Yes, the balconies denote condos, hotels and other residential highrises. And yes, there is an office tower core in Panama City, aka "Little Switzerland." Posted below are two images of the International Banking Center (IBC). Scroll down to the 7th. bold lettering paragraph of the following link for further detail regarding the IBC. www.offshoreinfo.com

As an extension of your baseball metaphor, I would say not only were you off base, but were caught leaning the wrong way and picked-off! laugh.gif Just yanking your chain... "Obarrio" is not a typo; the financial district was named after Henrique Obarrio, former controller general of the country. "Barrio" is quarter, sector or neighborhood. "Barrio bajo is spanish for slum. You must add the "bajo" to mean slum.

Ah. Thanks for that. I took French in high school. Everything I know about Spanish came from reading beer billboards.
