As I write this, crews are erecting two huge signs announcing, "Future site of the Parkhomes." These are townhouses that will fill in the awkward spaces around The Park At Lakeshore East. Specifically, between The Lancaster and 400 East Randolph.

In this picture, they'll go in that space between the parking garage wall and the road.

They'll probably also fill in the space between the park and 340 On The Park, in addition to the previously announced grocery store (a Treasure Island, if I remember correctly).

How many townhomes do you think will be constructed total? There isn't much space it seems.

It looks like there will be one row east-west of about six. Then on the north-south part of the corner, there will be four or five, but these will be stacked. The lower ones will face the park with their front doors on North Westshire. Then on top of them will be more facing the lake with their doors on Harbor Drive. In all cases, it looks like the ground level ones will be three stories, plus a basement. The second level will be three stories plus a penthouse.

Speaking of LakeshoreEast, there are rumblings going around about the next building in this project. Not sure if will be the next announced tower but a call was made to the architects (Architectonica sp?)behind the building and the answer to whether info could be released was "not at the moment" and possibly "early next year when the developer is ready to release info". They do pretty good work. I would check out their portfolio. The only thing that may be known is a height of ~900 ft. This could be very promising. Anyway, more info will come as soon as its given but it'll be awhile. Later.

There will be a public meeting on Monday where the plans will be released for the new school at Lakeshore East. I believe it's going between the Shoreham and the Lancaster.
