A building that combines two important skyscraper styles: The setbacks of the art deco period, and the rectangle slab of the modern age. This is a twist on the boring glass blocks that appear in cities these days. Through an emphasis on stone instead of glass it lives in harmony with its art deco neighbors, but it still has an unconventional twist -- a bend, really. The building is curved like a spinnaker on Lake Erie just a few hundred yards away. While the hearts of people in Cleveland are firmly wrapped around such icons as the Key Bank Tower and the Terminal Tower, this is a nice addition to the skyline and a structure in which they can feel pride.
