F ifth Third Tower was one of the first International-style buildings in the Cincinnati, built in 1969. Built at the location of what was the Keith Theater, the tower is now an anchor for Fountain Square, one of the most successful public squares in the country along with the popular "Good Morning Cincinnati" television show where locals and visitors will hold up signs much like their New York counterparts. The retail/commercial structure to the west of the Fifth Third Center is a wall surrounding Fountain Square with restaurants, a parking garage, and gift shops.
