T his is it. This is the building that has come to symbolize all things Disney. The castle was inspired by the Schloß Neuschwanstein in the Bavarian region of Germany. It's only 185-feet tall, but seems much larger because of forced perspective -- the bricks and other details get smaller as the building gets taller. The result is a castle that appears 300 feet tall. This was particularly evident during a recent event when Disney decorated the castle. The ornaments were of a uniform size, but because of the castle's diminishment seemed to get larger the higher they went. The castle is centrally located in Disney World and is a great landmark to keep you from getting lost since it is visible from almost everywhere.
The following may or may not be true:
>The castle's superstructure is made of concrete. The façade is fiberglass.
>The upper levels of the castle are used as a water tower.
>There are three elevators in the castle, including the dumbwaiter for the restaurant.
>An apartment was built into the castle for Walt Disney and his guests. At one time, it was turned into dressing rooms for the characters, and a restaurant (Cinderella's Royal Table, formerly King Stefan's Banquet Hall).
>Inside the castle there is a picture of Cinderella and her evil stepsisters. One of the sisters is red with anger, the other green with envy.
>Some of the tiles in the Wicked Stepsister mosaic are real gold.
>There is a drinking fountain next to the castle near a decorative fountain with a princess. When children drink, they can look up and see the princess crowned by a crown from a mural behind.
>The coats of arms on the rear of the castle bear the names of the engineers who designed the castle as well as Walt Disney.
>One of the flagpoles has an artificial flag that is actually a transmitting antenna for coordinating the Main Street parade
>It is said that a ghost can sometimes be seen in the crowd walking around the outside of the castle. It appears as a blurry tan figure.

Rating: Five stars. This structure is beautiful.It reminds me of all my princess dreams and think that I'm a beatiful princess again.I think that it can give people the courage to just believe.

Cinderellas castle is amazingly beautiful, as is Walt Disney World I could go there every year, beautiful country too. I love Americans they are so friendly.

Disney land Japan is very Beautiful....Its Very amazing....Beingg there to witness it's spectacular architecture is a pleasure...I wish that there will be a disneyland also here in the Philippiines

Rating: Five stars. The Cinderella Castle was very beautiful and breath taking. I loved the arcitecture. I also like how the decorations through out the years changed on the castles. From the huge cake idea to the very last 50th anniversery idea, i loved them all.

Walt Disney did build an Apartment for him and his family in the castle but never got a chance to move in due to his death. It's now used for the telephone operators.

The disney world's cinderella castle has a giant mosiac in its main hall...the faces in which are two people who built the castle.
