This
is about as close as most people will ever come to
actual rockets. The spacecraft on display here are
actual working rockets that have either been fired,
or were created as backups for specific space missions.
Standing next to one of these huge structures gives
you a sense of the scale involved in launching someone
or some thing into space. We've become used to seeing
rockets launch on television, but until you stand
next to one you don't appreciate what's involved in
the process. If you can't make it to Florida, NASA
has a similar exhibit called Rocket Park in Houston,
Texas.
