Never
before has such whimsy been put forth by corporate
America. The Longaberger Basket Company has erected
a building that should inspire architects and fill
other companies with shame. Photographs don't do it
justice. In images, it just looks like another Longaberger
Medium Market Basket. On closer inspection you notice
that the weave is actually windows, and the basket
is 160-times the regular size for a basket. Being
there is an entirely different experience. It bends
the mind in unusual ways and plays tricks with your
sense of perception. How did they do it? With a lot
of steel, a lot of stucco, and wood grown, harvested,
processed, and installed by the company, itself.
