More
aesthetically pleasing than historically significant,
this hotel rises out of a dead spot in the city's
skyline between the downtown core and HemisFair Park.
It's twin towers are done in the adobe color so popular
in this city since its earliest buildings were erected
three-hundred years ago. It is a new building, and
because of that the surrounding area has not yet developed
the full complement of shops and restaurants that
follow along as the the Riverwalk meanders through
the city. Still, at 38 stories it is an impressive
feature in a city, and a region, not known for its
great skyscrapers.
